Anna Paquin (born Winnipeg, raised in Wellington) is a Canadian actress. Paquin was born in Winnipeg and raised by Wellington Paquin's father, was first seen on stage in the role of Flora McGrath. For this role, she won an Academy Award of Best Supporting Actress for The romantic drama The Piano at the young age of 11. She is the second-youngest winner in Oscar history. Paquin started her acting career when she was a kid, with the character in the Jane Eyre title character in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre as well as an important role in Fly Away Home.
